Resilience is a non-profit narrative feature film that exposes the abuse, neglect, and exploitation occurring in unregulated teen treatment facilities across America.
Every year, thousands of teenagers are sent to wilderness programs, therapeutic boarding schools, and residential treatment centers. Many experience trauma that haunts them for life. This film tells their story.
"This film isn't just about exposing an industry - it's about giving voice to survivors who have been silenced for too long. As filmmakers, we have a responsibility to tell stories that create change."
The troubled teen industry operates with virtually no federal oversight. Programs that promise to help struggling youth often employ abusive tactics: isolation, physical restraint, denial of basic necessities, and psychological manipulation.
Resilience joins a growing movement of survivors, advocates, and filmmakers demanding change. From Paris Hilton's Congressional testimony to Netflix's "The Program," the truth is finally coming to light.
